Ringo Starr's fourth solo album GOODNIGHT VIENNA was released in USA on November 18, 1974. The album title has double sense. On the Liverpool slang it designates a phrase
"Let's get outta here".
The records of this album were pressed on three factories: Jacksonville, Los Angeles and Winchester. The printing was almost the same for all three factories with the exception of the top edge of the inner sleeves. Straight top have Los Angeles copies, and rounded top on Jacksonville and Winchester copies.
Records between factories can be distinguished only by the inscriptions in the runout area, where, in addition to the matrix number, there was a stamp of a specific plant.
Some Apple Records copies have a blue oval sticker on the shrink wrap promoting the inclusion of two singles in album.
On the front cover is a still from the 1951 science-fiction film "The Day the Earth Stood Still" [see Pic. 1, 2] with Ringo's head superimposed over the head of Michael Rennie. That science-fiction classic featured the human-like Klaatu and his robot assistant, Gort. In that movie, "Klaatu barada nikto" is a phrase that is used to prevent Gort from destroying the planet in the event that harm befell Klaatu. The authors did not translate it. Poster and sticker promoting the Goodnight Vienna album [see Pic. 3] urged people to remember that phrase. The cityscape and moon behind Ringo were not part of the original movie still, and of course, artists added a star to Klaatu's costume.
On the labels two song titles are listed not in full:

The Day the Earth Stood Still ("День, когда Земля
