In 1944 the music was written by Les Brown and Ben Homer, the lyrics were written by Bud Green. January 22, 1945 Les Brown and his Orchestra was released song on 10" shellac 78 rpm record with Doris Day on vocals (Columbia 36769). The record first reached the Billboard charts on March 29, 1945 and lasted 23 weeks on the chart, peaking at #1.

Song by American composer and songwriter Cole Porter. It was written for the 1932 musical play "Gay Divorce". Fred Astaire introduced song on stage, and his recording of the song was a #1 hit 1 (Columbia DB 1215). In 1934 he performed it again in the 1934 film version of the show, renamed "The Gay Divorcee", and it became one of his signature pieces.

Popular song was written by Fred Fisher and his daughter Doris Fisher. First time was recorded by trumpeter Erskine Hawkins & His Orchestra in 1940. Later American vocal group "The Ink Spots" featuring Bill Kenny released it in November the same year on 10" record. In England song was released on Brunswick label as catalog number 03075.

The song in 1926 was written by the American composer Ray Henderson and lyricist Mort Dixon. She immediately became a popular jazz standard and was recorded by Gene Austin in April, 29 the same year. Record released in USA on "Victor Records" label with catalogue number 20044 and In England on "His Master's Voice" label as catalog number B 2345.

The song was written by Ted Daffan American country musician in 1940 and recorded by his band called "The Texans". However, this song became popular when in 1954 it re-recorded by Les Paul and Mary Ford. Their version was released in USA on 7" single June 21, 1954 (Capitol F2839).

An American popular song composed in 1927 by Hoagy Carmichael. Lyrics were added in 1929 by Mitchell Parish when the melody has become very popular. "Stardust" was recorded for the first time by the Emil Seidel Orchestra (Emil Seidel - pianist and bandleader in 1920s Indianapolis.) at the Gennett Recording Studio on Oct. 31, 1927 in original uptempo version, that as the music historian Rick Keneddy wrote would have benefited greatly from a little more rehearsal, more formally arranged scores,
Carmichael first recorded the song, originally titled "Star Dust", at the Gennett Records studio in Richmond, Indiana. The song, "a song about a song about love", played in an idiosyncratic melody in medium tempo, became an American standard, and is one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, with over 1,500 total copies.

Popular song with music was composed by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Paul Francis Webster. The song was publicized first in the movie "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing" (1955). Film was winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song. The best-selling version of the song was recorded by The Four Aces featuring Al Alberts with Orchestra (directed by Jack Pleis) and was issued in America on 7" single by Decca Records as catalog number 29625 and in England on 10" shellac 78 rpm record (Brunswick 05480).

Sometimes referred to as "Dream (When You're Feeling Blue)", is a jazz standard with words and music written by Johnny Mercer in 1944. He originally wrote it as a theme for his radio program. Late song was performed by many artists, with the most popular versions of this song recorded by The Pied Pipers, Frank Sinatra, and Roy Orbison.

The oldest song written by Ernest R. Ball and J. Karen Brennan was dating from 1919. Originally is by George J. Trinkaus and his band. But Ringo and his family would surely have been more familiar with the 1944 version. This song was from the film "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling", sung it by Dick Haymes.
