NOTE
The album was recorded intermittently for a long time over almost a year from February 1977 to January 1978.
Work began at EMI's Abbey Road studios, where five tracks were recorded over the course of two months. The group then took a month's vacation, after which they headed to the Virgin Islands. A significant part of the material was recorded on a yacht at sea in the US Virgin Islands using Record Plant Mobile Studio. After these sessions concluded, the band took another break. Recording continued in August, this time in Scotland.
The recordings were mixed throughout November, and in the first half of December at A.I.R. Studios in London, overdubbing of string arrangements took place. After the Christmas holidays, work on the album was completed at EMI's Abbey Road studios.
In September, the main composition of 'Wings' lost two musicians. Drummer Joe English returned to America, and guitarist Jimmy McCulloch joined the 'Small Faces'. For this reason, a collage of photographs of the remaining three band members was used for the album cover in early 1978 (see Pic. 1-4).

ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ
Альбом записывался с перерывами длительное время в течение почти года с февраля 1977 года по январь 1978 года.
Работа началась в студии EMI на Abbey Road, где в течение двух месяцев были записаны 5 композиций. Затем группа взяла месячный отпуск, после которого отправилась на Виргинские острова. Значительная часть материала была записана на яхте в море именно на Виргинских островах США при помощи мобильной студии Record Plant. После завершения этих сессий группа сделала еще один перерыв. Запись продолжилась в августе, на этот раз в Шотландии.
Весь ноябрь производилось сведение записей, а в первой половине декабря в студии A.I.R. в Лондоне проходили наложения струнных аранжировок. После рождественских каникул работа над пластинкой была полностью завершена в студии EMI на Abbey Road.
В сентябре основной состав "Wings" лишился двух музыкантов. Барабанщик Джо Инглиш вернулся в Америку, а гитарист Джимми Маккаллох присоединился к группе "Small Faces". По этой причине для обложки альбома в начале 1978 года был использован коллаж из фотографий оставшихся трёх участников группы (см. Рис. 1-4).
